Radu is driven by the idea that we should be the best we know how to be. He believes that once we become aware that something we're doing is wrong we should change our behavior. His work is devoted to helping people make (what research says are) the right choices for themselves and our society.

Fitness is one of the ways he expresses this belief.

He first started lifting weights in high school to impress girls. At that time his main focus was overcoming his socially awkward nature because he wanted to be a part of "the cool kids". He thought building a great physique would contribute to that goal.

Earning money was another goal motivated by his early desire to "be cool". In his last year of high school he joined a sales company along with his brother where they met two managers who later became their mentors. Radu spent a year working for them, time in which he adopted their life philosophy. That was the turning point of his life. He changed his motivation from "wanting to be cool" to "achieving goals in the service of others".

He did not achieve success working in that sales company and eventually quit. In search of another big goal that would push him to grow, he refocused on fitness in 2013. One year later after following the advice of Greg O'Gallagher he reached his goal of "looking like Brad Pitt in Fight Club". Later, he followed Greg's example and started his own fitness website.

Fitness was his main focus from 2014 to 2017, when he decided to start creating content about other important topics as well.

Now, a part of Radu's work is talking about how you can achieve your physique goals while also growing in other areas of your life. He believes that fitness should be automated and leave your attention free to be focused on other goals. Feeling great and being healthy is one of the pillars of a happy life. But he believes once we have that vitality and health, we should pursue other goals that are important to us.
